The main purpose of the policy is to,
• Prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health by managing the health and safety risks in the workplace
• Provide clear instructions and information, and adequate training, to ensure employees are competent to do their work
• Engage and consult with employees on day-to-day health and safety conditions
• Implement emergency procedures – evacuation in case of fire or other significant incident
• Maintain safe and healthy working conditions, provide and maintain plant, equipment and machinery, and ensure safe storage/use of substances
• Adopting ecologically sustainable development principles by reducing water and natural resources consumption and waste generation
Company safety department has developed an in-house “Safety Manual” which describes the essential safety practices to be followed by every company individual.
Implementation of safety practices is also the responsibility of every individual working in the company. Delegated Safety Engineers will conduct “Safety refreshing seminar” on regular intervals. Hazard identification will be prepared, reviewed and approved prior to commencing any activity.
It is mandatory that all the employees working in the company must attend a “Safety Awareness Course” which is conducted by the company safety department. Safety inspection will be conducted for every equipment and machinery and it can be put in service only after obtaining the approval.
